Arrival Story:
When I was 9 years old, I asked my parents if I could get a new cat because the family cat, Whitey (? - 2008), wasn't really "mine". That night, I went on the Bartlett Animal Shelter's website and found a the cutest, tabby, male, American Shorthair kitten ever named Adam. The next day, we went to the Bartlett Animal Shelter to find him. When we were looking, I saw this little kitten put it's little paw out of the cage bars and try to touch my arm. I fell in love with it at once, and above all, the shelter workers said it was the kitten, Adam! After a few days of being Adam's foster parent (since he was sick), my mom took him in to officially become my adopted kitten (he also needed to get his free neuter). Later that day when I came home from school, she told me my "Adam" was an "Eve". I was so shocked I immediately asked if we could still keep her even though she wasn't the male cat they wanted. They said yes, and acknowledged the fact I needed to rename her. I chose Angel because she acted just like an angel, and I think an angel put us together. Ever since, even after a few rough patches, Angel has always been my closest companion!

Her Brother, Whitey (R.I.P.):
Before I, Angel's "companion" was born, a neighborhood cat came to our house begging for food and began watching our previous cat, Oscar, through the window. It was an all white cat with huge, round, yellow eyes and 7 toes on each foot. He was extremely sweet. When Oscar died, Whitey, as we called him, was allowed inside to check out the house and the new baby, me. It was love at first sight for the whole family. He became a permanent fixture at our house. No one replied to out posters on the "lost" cat. When we "adopted" him, he was already neutered and was needing a home. He stayed with us until he died in July of 2008. He was around 15-17 years old. We miss him very much and hopefully he's in Kitty Heaven with God and all the others!

Well... To start off, I'm kinda new to this "internet" thing. I see my human use it almost everyday, so I decided to become a part of the World Wide Web. Caster was the first website I hit after a successful attempt with Google (curse you and your 76,000,000,000,000 websites found for the word "cat"!) I loved this site immediately! My human doesn't know I get on the computer when she's gone off to school, but does she really need to know anyways? I'm catching on to this typing thing, but it's had without opposable thumbs! I'm hoping my membership with Caster will be a long, purrfect, and fulfilling one!
