Arrival Story: My dad found a black and white kitten that had fallen into a big ditch. It's back legs didn't seem to work, so we set it outside while we thought of what we should do, when we came back to it, it was gone. The poor things back legs didn't work, so we wanted to catch it to take it to the spca where it could be cared for. we would have taken it to the vet, but we did not have enough money to care for a cat that wasn't ours. So, we set a "have a heart" trap, and waited to catch it. well we caught one of it's litter mates and fell totally in love!! so now we've decided to keep her, she is very small, and feerfull of alot of things! But we are trying our best to socialize her. I have to where gloves when I handle her to make sure she doesn't bite me. she hasn't tried yet, but you never know!! So now, after two days with working with her she will let ME and only me hold her, if I scratch her behinde her neck, she purrs very loud!! And she is very affectionate toward me, she does sleep on my lap whilr=e I read warriors or somthing, we were going to take her to the spca, but they are NOT no kill shelters, and with the way she acts, we were very afraid that she wouldn't get a home, so we just said, the heck with it, she'll be a good compainion, and mouser!!She is a house cat right now, only because we cought her two days ago, but eventually we will have her be an inside outside cat. When momma first got me, she remembered she couldn't even touch me! I would always be hideing in the corner of the room, under the chair, behind the drawers! She would have to catch me, which was not the easiest thing to do! Once she caught me, she would sit down on the porch swing, and gently swing while scratching my neck. I would start to purr and be all happy and cudly! But, if she put me down, walked away, and tried to pick me up again, I would hiss at her, and bare my teeth! MOL Mommy got very confused by this xD Anyways, she just continued to pick me up and scratch and pet me, and hand feed me... until, now I am the most friendly cuddly kitty around! I love to be held, and I love to sit on your lap while you pet me. I've grown alot since then, and if you don't pick me up I will jump in your lap myseld MOL! I free roam now, and I never run away. Whenever mom gets home, she sees me lying on the ground in front of the office door, waiting fur her to let me in MOL
I catch all the nasty mice in this yard, and since they got me, dad hasn't found even one mouse in one of his car's engines! He loves me, and so does mom. I am so happy in my new home ♥
