What Kind of Kitty am I?

Mommy thinks I have Russian Blue in me, but sissy thinks I'm just a domestic shorthair. What do you think?

he could be a mixed russian blue. alot of people on here always think that just because a cat isn't papered doesn't have a full bred dad or mom or both doesn't look like one. that it couldn't be even a mix of a purebred cat, somewhere way, way up the line. i personaly believe that no one on catster is a cat breed expert. believe what you wanna believe. i have asked over and over if my cat is PART bengal. everyone said no! she is a brown tabby or domestic shorthair. i still believe somewhere WAY up the line their is some bengal in her lineage. i think your cat really looks like a russian blue/domestic shorthair mix! he is beautiful!!! BTW........accidents happen people.

You look just like me, and I'm a domestic short hair. :-) Not that there's anything wrong with that, look how handsome we both are!

Sorry, but Miko is a Domestic Shorthair. I go to cat shows, and Russian Blues are a fairly rare breed with a very distinct look. Just because a cat is gray does not mean they have Russian Blue, Korat, British Shorthair, ect. in them. The chances of Miko having a rare Russian Blue in her background are slim (at best) to none. Reputable breeders do have neutering agreements and it's highly unlikely a rare breed purebred cat would be able to mix and breed with a Domestic population. Miko doesn't need a breed. Most cats - 95% do not have a breed like the dog world. Enjoy your beautiful cat!
